I use my brush for the first time in the New Year. It is called Kakizome in Japanese. Kakizome is the Japanese custom of practicing calligraphy at the beginning of the year. I did it as activity of my club with my club members. To do Kakizome, I brought my brush from my home which I used it when I was a junior high school student. I practiced calligraphy once a week.
I wrote ‘I want to be happy!’ In addition, I gave some resolutions for this year. For example, ‘I want to increase my TOEIC score than now.’ ‘I want to pass the pre 1st grade EIKEN.’’I want to be an exchange student.’ And so on. I wrote some new year’s resolution, and most of them were related to English. I want to increase my all English skills, for example, speaking, writing, reading and so on. I am not good at remembering new English vocabulary, so I want to improve my all English skills in this year.
And this photo is the scene of the inside our club room. We put Kakizome of paper on the wall. So I never forget the New Year resolution, and I absolutely comes dream true in this year.
Through writing my new year’s resolution, I could reconfirm my aim. I had really good time and enjoyed doing calligraphy.
