This is a story about five dinosaurs Sid, Spike, Ross, Ollie and Rex.
Sid lived in the middle of a big forest. He liked crashing through bushes, climbing tall trees and splashing in the river. But, most of all, Sid liked scaring other dinosaurs. He had the loudest roar of all.
One day, Sid went for a walk. He saw Spike, Ross and Ollie on his way. He gave a roar one by one. When he saw they were frightened, he laughed very hard. That night, Sid felt his throat hurt.
The next day, Sid went for another walk. When he saw Spike, he tried to roar again. But only a croak came out of his throat. Spike laughed him. He tried to roar at Ross and Ollie, but he could not. Ross and Ollie also laughed at him. Sid went red and ran all the way home. He ate a spoonful of honey, drunk some worm water and went to bed.
The next day, Sid’s throat was better. He decided to visit Spike, Ross and Ollie to say sorry for scaring them. But they were not anywhere. Then he found some footprints. They were not Spike’s, Ross’s and Ollie’s. Sid followed the footprints. The footprints led to a huge dinosaur called Rex. Rex had taken Spike, Ross and Ollie home for dinner. Sid crept up behind Rex and gave him his biggest, strongest, loudest roar. Rex was terrified and ran off without looking back. Spike, Ross and Ollie thanked Sid and they became good friends.
Feeling
When we hear the word ‘dinosaur’ we feel a little scary. But the dinosaurs have unique shape and they are all colorful and cute.
Rex was a little scary because he caught Spike, Ross and Ollie and wanted to eat them. But it was funny to see that Rex was running away in a panic Sid’s roar.
‘Bad boy’ Sid is not so bad. He just scares other dinosaurs by his loud roar. The children who read this book will laugh with Sid to see other dinosaurs are frightened at his roar and fall into the river or drop eggs. It was the heartwarming scene of Sid eating honey or drinking hot water when he lost his voice. Some children may want to eat honey.
At the end of this story, three dinosaurs were saved by Sid and they became good friends. The children will relieved and close the book. I want to read this book to my children in the future.
