Tomoko T (tomo)
January 11th, we had a big event! It was Coming of Age Day. We wore long-sleeved kimono on this day. About six month before, I decided my kimono at kimono store. I was looking forward to wearing that so much since then. My kimono was white and there were red and pink flowers. There is a picture of it.That day, I woke up at 4am because I reserved a beauty salon at 5 am. Though I could not sleep well the day before, I could wake up because I was so excited. I prepared to go out and my father took me to the salon. It was my favorite salon so I was very happy. It took about an hour. Then my father took me to the kimono store. I thought my father was also hard that day. It took about thirty minutes to wear the kimono. I saw my high school friend there. She was so beautiful more than usual. There were many beautiful girls so I was fascinated by them.
After that, I went back home. I took some pictures with my parents and my grandmother. Then I went to my grandparents' house in Aso by car. It was little hard for me because I was wearing kimono. I could not relax in the car. Finally, we arrived at parents' house. They admired me so I was glad. Then we took some pictures together.
Next, I went to my boy friends' house to take pictures together. He is one year older than me so he did not have a ceremony. Because I love suit, I requested him to wear suit and we agreed with that. He was waiting in his suit. I was so happy and we took many pictures. Then I left his house to go to the hall where was held the ceremony.
I was so surprised when I arrived at the hall. There were soooo many people wearing kimonos and suits. I had a promise to meet my friends. After we met, we walked around the hall together. There were so many our friends. Some of them were old friend and some of them were my university or high school friends. Anyway, I was glad to see them very much!! I took so many pictures with them.
Then I went to downtown with my friend. First we took purikura and we had lunch in a café. Though we ate nice pasta, we were careful not to soil with the dishes. Another friend joined us and then, my boy friend arrived at downtown. I went to see him again and we visited a café which is work place because I had a promise to show my kimono to coworkers. There were also some coworkers in their kimono. This year, there were many people who became twenty in our workplace. They were so beautiful. I took pictures with them and coworkers.
Then we went to a game center to take purikura. Then we played UFO catcher and he gave me a cute toy animal and I liked it^^ When I got out the game center, we were took by camera of free paper. We were asked our new year's goal, so I replayed that I would like to study languages hard to them. After that I went back to the kimono store to change the dress.
I had a party with my elementary school friends and teachers at night. I dressed up and we gathered at a hotel's bar. The bar had good atmosphere and the dishes were also good. As soon as we met, there were a lot of surprising things. Some of them changed clearly!! I could not recognize some of them. Moreover, some of them had got married and some of them have had babies. I was so surprised. They changed not only their looks but also their positions. When I heard the news, I was encouraged very much. I thought I have to grow up more. In the bar, we talked a lot, drank a lot and took pictures a lot. When I talked to the friends, I was glad because their hearts have not changed if their looks changed. We also talked to our teachers. They reminded about me so I was glad.
I had very very good time this day. I do not forget about the things of January 11th!!!
