Protege is like 無間道(Infernal Affairs) because there appears to be an undercover agent and Andy Lau is in the movie. I know him more than anyone in the movie, but he plays a supporting role. Instead Daniel Woo plays a leading role. First I thought Zhang Jingchu was beautiful because her appearance on the package looks nice. But actually she isn't as I thought. By the way I think Louis Koo is handsome.
Protege starts with car-chase scene. It's very like the beginning of Infernal Affairs. But the movie goes dark. The movie shows several drug contents and it is very frightening.
Andy Lau plays a drug dealer and it is very different from his role in Infernal Affairs. The drug dealer is not like it and is an angry man. He never thinks what he does is wrong. But he loves his wife and his children. Meanwhile Daniel Woo plays an undercover agent who later has to betray the drug dealer. He wonders why people use drug and questions it to us. I see the movie has a message.
